Skill Shortages in Australia

Australia’s General Skilled Migration Program is designed to attract highly skilled people, with a high level of English language ability who have
skills in particular occupations that are required in Australia.

Holmesglen Institute recognises the needs of Australian employers for highly skilled, qualified and experienced workers, and has the programs,
resources and facilities to ensure these needs are met.

Holmesglen offers a wide range of professional and trade/technician programs that provide the skills and qualifications required by students seeking employment in Australia in their chosen occupation.

Holmesglen’s extensive industry contacts provide students with excellent practical placement opportunities, and assistance with part time employment in their field of study. Additional support is available to students seeking employment to increase their skills and work experience in their chosen occupation.

International students who are unable to meet the new requirements for a permanent skilled visa may apply for an 18 month Skilled-Graduate
(subclass 485) visa to build on their skills and work experience or complete a Professional Year.

This visa will have unrestricted work rights.
